Wind Power Summer School

Why Wind Power Summer School?

Are you interested in getting an insight into the latest developments in wind power along with other international and Danish students during your summer vacation?

Aarhus University School of Engineering offers a summer course with focus on wind turbine technology in close cooperation with companies working with wind power (Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, Ørsted, Energinet.dk etc.) and DTU Wind Energy.

The purpose of the summer course is to enable participants to apply their engineering competences to wind turbine technology problems and gain an insight into the design of wind turbines and the interaction between the different subcomponents and their demand profiles. The summer course’s main focus is on mechanical and power engineering problems.

Approximately 25 speakers and teachers from Aarhus University, DTU Wind Energy and the cooperating companies participate in teaching the course, which include several company visits across Denmark.

The summer course is an intensive and challenging 2-week course from 9 August - 21 August 2020.
