Different facilities of the IRPHE/Pytheas Laboratory in Marseille, France will be presented. Moreover, details are given on a number of experiments conducted at the air-sea interface facility. The experiments target topics as hydrodynamics, wave impacts on structures and characterization of the airflow close to the water surface. More particularly tests on floating wind turbines are presented in depth; Including a study on a vertical axis wind turbine with pitching blades.

The seminar is supported through funding of the Danish Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Center.
